I'm Jade Compston, the girl who went from being frozen in fear the first time I picked up a power tool to renovating entire homes.
 
I left school at 17 with no perfect plan. I worked in admin, retail, legal offices, even as a pole dancing instructor (which honestly gave me more confidence than any corporate job ever did!)
